SAFFIATOU JOOF is not only the Vice President of the Young Writers’ Association of The Gambia’ but also one of the most appreciated poets. Her work speaks volumes. She is a dedicated and determined young lady who loves her country and the dynamics of African poetry. Her first book, Under the Spell of Poetry, sparks hearts and brings people together. Her poetry speaks about current issues with fearless thought and energy to ignite change. She is a passionate person, studying Computer Science at the American International University of West Africa, The Gambia.
