Open Poem (Birthday)

From among the saints in Baghdad
Was this lady who lost her dad
Her brother, her son and all she had
From the bombs of Uncle Sam
And emasculation of the men of that land

In anger she dropped her hijab
And walked on the land
In protest of what befell her
The women of the land shunned her
Their men called her bad
Yet she walked on the land mad
Sad at all what fell upon her clan

Then they called a tribunal
Putting their saint to a trial
For discarding the traditional
Garb of the levant

With tears in her eyes
She asked to be allowed just once
To make clear her stance

Do we hijab against other women
Or is the hijab against men
In one voice they replied men
All stating in one voice the evidence against them

Then where are the men?
And that’s how she bombed them
Putting all those emasculated men
To neverending shame.

Saffiyah, swing your dick
All fourteen inches of it
Man among men
Overly superseded women
While still ahead of the men

Happy birthday to you
The Good Lord be with you
And all those with you.
