The meeting was chaired by the permanent secretary of (MoHerst)and representatives from other departments were present. Upon listening to Seedou elder brother about their family struggles. We learn that their father is late, and the elder brother is not financially strong enough to continue with his educational career at the UTG.

Despite all these challenges, Seedou became very determined and continued to support his mother with the little earnings from the workshop. The most impressive part of it, Seedou, does not only make helicopters but even Bluetooth speakers. Which was later connected to a phone, and it went loud and clear.

The Honourable Minister Pierre Gomez immediately gave an instruction to his elder brother to bring his transcripts for a fully funded scholarship. It was the best moment of this meeting, which revitalized the spirit of his elder brother.

The minister stretched more on Seedou’s career, and he stressed that it would be fully cared because he needs proper guidance to achieve his lifetime career. He has an ultimate commitment within his capacity to ensure that he would be guided by USET and expressed gratitude to be the first of its kind to have such a young boy with wonderful skills.

There shall be a pitching in which he was identified and would be given a table to showcase his talent. That makes this role significant as part of national development to ensure that young people with talent are given the required opportunities. On behalf of the Ministry, the permanent secretary has thanked the Tanji online media for sharing the story of Seedou. And I added that this would go a long way into our historic moments.

Furthermore, his team has emphasized greatly on nurturing such young individuals. They have given assurance to help Seedou achieve his dreams. In sha Allah. Congratulations to the Government of the Gambia, and a special thank-you goes to Hon. Minister Pierre Gomez for his leadership visions and commitment to support brilliant students who are struggling with financial burdens.

He’s a father figure per excellence, and Gambians are truly lucky to have him in this sector. I, personally, said, “Thank you for raising the flag of our nation, Higher, For the Gambia ever true.” An example for all the ministers in this country to learn from, such a humble and visionary person that belief and acts upon nationalism. His pragmatic leadership style is commendable and should be emulated by civil servants. Author Saffiatou
