She has sacrificed all her teenage life to be with Alieu. A famous, wealthy man who claimed not lucky about marriage. With all that had happened to his life in the past. He was ready to start a new life. He proposed to Khadijah and within a week, the family decided to tie the knot while she awaits for her husband to finish building the house.
Their families had done the introductory aspect and they started visiting each other. A long-time boyfriend of Khadijah heard about the news of their relationship. He used a second number to engage with Khadijah. He believes that Khadijah dumping him was due to the new guy in her life. Whom he believes to be more wealthy than him.
This made the boyfriend furious and plans for a revenge. Khadijah, an innocent lady, had spoken to him several times about her interest of starting a life with him, but he never took her serious. She moved into her new husband’s house and began noticing unusual chats from some new male friends. Whom, one of them claimed to appreciate her a lot. She never thought for once that the then boyfriend paid an outside agent to distract her.
After the first six months of her marriage, the new husband discloses to her some of the rumours that his friends had been spreading in town. She was focused and advice her husband of her innocent. There was a day that the husband became suspicious and Lodge a complaint to her mother. He doesn’t seem to appreciate how their marriage has turned, with unknown attitudes that he couldn’t believe that his wife possess.
On Saturday morning, at 10:00 am, Khadijah received some news about her husband insecurity behaviors. Her immediate brother was very uncomfortable and called for them to have a private conversation. Upon her arrival, she disclosed to her brother about her feelings of dissolving the marriage because she was tired of the problems and unconditional attitudes and reports.
Upon arrival, she found her husband in a distress mood and went straight to bed. It was June 12th 2022, when she last spoke to her closest friend, explaining the change of attitudes towards her husband. She took the phone and dialed her line again, but it was switched off. In a minute after that attempted calls, she received some disturbing messages that made her very attached to the strange guy.
One of the messages reads,” I have been thinking about you. You seem to be an excellent woman, and I won’t mind for us meeting and talk in person”. Khadijah was surprised in the beginning, but she took it normal and gradually getting used to these chats. She later thought of having a second phone to avoid her husband seeing their texts messages. That resulted in a secret relationship.
Alieu’s friends has been useless, and they often advise him wrongfully. He was their boss that would at times gave them tips( money). One of the friends objected and coarse him. He said,” I have seen your wife somewhere in a hotel with a stranger, so I doubt how you couldn’t find out about this”. Alieu laughed and nodded his head in shocked. “My wife can never be in any hotel without me” he told the friend.
Before his intervention, the boyfriend of Khadijah went on to use her weakness. Khadijah was unable to resist anymore and kept on engaging with this strange guy in private hotels. Her husband launched an investigation about her secretively, and eventually, she was exposed. They exchanged some bitter arguments that led to Khadijah packing her belongings and left to her mother’s house. After a few weeks, they were finally publicly divorced.
The man who was engaging her later felt sorry of her situation and confessed to her openly that he was a paid agent to destabilized her marriage. Khadijah wants to go back to her marriage, but it was too late. When she learned about the betrayal that her ex-boyfriend had done to her. She rushed to apologize to Alieu, who had a tragedy due to heart attacked.
The last called that came made her faith. Alieu was pronounced death at the hospital. This created more sadness in her life. She thought of the good times and couldn’t forgive herself. The light of her heart was gone, due to her lack of foresight.
This fiction story taught us to be careful as married women. It’s totally forbidden for a married woman to chat with strangers(opposite gender) because it can lead you Into certain acts that won’t be pleasurable. The two families reunited and Khadijah started going to attend lessons from the counseling department. After work she would visit her ex in-laws but her life was thrown apart. She became isolated.
