The Menace of Pollution

Our planet lies breathless
Under the defiling spillage of oil mines
Infertilizing plains of vegetation
And suffocating the aquatic ecosystem

Within the bondage of pollution
The glaciers melt
Dry lands shred
Temperatures rise unbearable
Life goes into shambles

The menace of environmental pollution
Is a boomerang of our own deeds
We are like a bird
Who scatters its nest

Our planet is made naked
Left to be baked
By the ultraviolet rays of the sun
That takes its toll on us
